It's like a film that won't go away. Does anyone know what this might be?

Its normal...give it a few days. I had four pulled at once (and I stayed awake) and my tongue was the same way. If after a week you have problems, especially with color and odor, contact your dentist. It could be an infection or something...

Reply:Hm when i got mines pulled 2 weeks ago it was old blood that is just sitting there. The first stay i brushed my tongue very well. Just get a soft tooth brush and a tongue scraper it's blood.

Reply:If its yellow and tastes bad it is an infection. Call you dentist

Try gargling with salt water every hour.
Reply:Aren't you supposed to see your dentist a week after the operation, just to check there is no infection and it's healing properly? That's what we do in France, but I don't know how it's done in the US, though.
