You should go to your dentist and have a cleaning so any extrinsic stains, caused by such things as smoking and drinking dark beverages, can be removed. Also, try and avoid those things that cause staining of the teeth. I would not advise using any whitening toothpastes.... they are not going to change the shade of your teeth %26amp; they are very abrasive and can be potentially harmful to the enamel of the teeth. Make sure you have good oral hygiene habits by brushing 2-3 times per day, flossing at least once per day and seeing your dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and exam. If you are interested in whitening, see your dentist as there are no over-the-counter whitening products that have been approved by the ADA (American Dental Association).
HOW CAN I GET RID OF MY TEETH YELLOWING ? is any specialtooth paste for bright teeth ?
tooth paste that has baking soda in it and flouride
Reply:you can try colgate whitening
Reply:Honestly, you can use many whitening toothpastes all you want, but it's really your toothbrush and how OFTEN you brush that matters most.
Reply:Yes there are special toothpastes to cure yellow teeth or you can go to your dentist for an annual cleaning, for the first choice go to Walmart, K-Mart or Big Lots whatever floats your boat.
Reply:i really like rembrandt professional white, but really just good dental health is your best bet, also limiting things like tea and soda, these things discolor teeth.
Reply:Drink less coffee and tea. All drugstores sell whitening agents. Crest White Strips works well...Costs about $25.00 FOR 2 week supply that lasts about 4-5 months.Use a whitening toothpaste and chew whitening sugar less gum...
If teeth are yellowed from drugs..nothing will lighten them.
Reply:If it's superficial stain, then most toothpaste will do the trick. If it's internal staining, then no toothpaste will work. You'll need to get your teeth whitened with either over-the counter products or at your dental office.
Reply:Get your dentist whitening your teeth. Whitening tooth paste is not as effective as the dentist has. You only need to do it once and your teeth will be as bright as the first time you got them.
Reply:Hi...yellowing of teeth is really annoying...and pretty unpleasing ... but firstly is the yellowing since the time of eruption of permanent teeth.. or have you noticed them recently??
Yellowing could be due to a defect in the enamel called as enamel hypoplasia .. in that case the treatment is Bleaching ..or laminate veneers.. Your Dentist can do this for you ...Toothpaste wont help
If you have recently noticed yellowing ... and if it is confined to one tooth... check for vitality .. history of any trauma .. it might need an endodontic treatment followed by a ceramic crown.
Some toothpastes do contain bleaching agents... but this can help in mild correction.. please consult your dentist before starting any such product.
Lastly ... you may not be cleaning your teeth properly in the first place .. so it could be plaque.. get your teeth scaled if thats the case.
