No side effects, but it could cost a bit - are you talking about getting veneers or caps put in, or braces to close the gap? Generally it's about $1000 per tooth (aussie bucks), then to whiten your teeth that depends on how many shades whiter you want to go, but you're also looking at a few hundred for ALL your teeth, just for one shade lighter. Look up your local dentist and they should be able to give you an estimate, or you can get cosmetic dental surgeons to do it but they generally cost more,
