What is yellow stuff in wisdom tooth socket?

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed last Thurs. The OS stitched my mouth so that you could not even see the holes until the stitches came out. Today the stitches in my bottom two sockets came out. However there is some type of yellow/white stuff in both sockets that is almost covering them fully. It isn't food because I have been eating mostly liquids and the hole hasn't been open. I was wondering if this is a normal process in healing?

~Thanks

yes, this is part of the normal healing process. This is kinda like a scab. Don't worry , unless you start to hurt or to have a fever.
Reply:a wet scab or puss from an infection
Reply:I know exactly what your talking about. I too had a tooth pulled and the white stuff in the socket concerned me too. I thought it was food just keep rinsing your mouth with warm salty water and everything will be OK. Like the other guy said its the scab, part of the healing process.
