what can i do to fix all of the things?

i think im gonna get my buck teeth sanded down.

and my dentist told me i dont need braces! and invisilgn is not an option! help?

Helpp with my teeth?
i never ever knew you could sand down your teeth. to make them more white try using whitening tooth paste and maybe brush 3 times a day. you can also bleach them. hope this helps :)
Reply:do you brush your teeth?

you can prob get braces,

don't sand your teeth that stuff hurts,

umm i had a chipped front tooth, and yesterday they appied composite on my tooth so it's identical to my other front tooth, now i have a perfect smile all white.
Reply:Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken. I found the information at http://www.aches.in/toothwhitening.html

Yello teeth...?

whenever i talk to someone, especially a guy and seeing that they have yellow teeth or somewhat not white i get gross out. is that a bad thing? I remember i was talking to this guy, he's really nice but whenever i ever think of me kissing him i would feel gross out because of his teeth. can i get some answers why i feel the way i do?

Yello teeth...?
depending on how yellow we're talking here then I think its probably perfectly normal to feel a bit grossed out. I mean naturally with age our teeth don't stay as white as the day they came out of our gums. But good oral hygiene can help prevent a lot of stains. I used to smoke and that started making my teeth more and more off white. But after six months of not smoking they are back to white. So if we're talking Austin powers teeth then.. yes. run. but if its mildly off white give the guy a break!
Reply:you're shallow. get a box of whitening strips and carry it around in your bag incase you find mister right. wouldn't want his teeth to be yellow, or heaven forbid, off white, now would you????
Reply:Are you lucky enough to have pearly whites? Everyones teeth color varies. Also it is very expensive to go to a dentist. Try not to be so judgmental.
Reply:You could lose a your 'Mr. Right' because you couldn't face your fears. I mean, if they don't brush their teeth and don't take care of themselves, that's understandable, but many can't help the color of their teeth.
Reply:I'm not trying to sound mean but it can be considered immature of you to have a problem with teeth.

Alternatively it could be a psychological phobia. I've heard of weirder ones. My phobia is much weirder and a little embarrassing (I am phobic of twins, can't explain it or rationalize it but they freak me out, but I work hard to keep my phobia in control)

You only mentioned guys with bad teeth in your question which leads me to believe it is a defense mechanism. A way to keep guys at bay. How many things do you scrutinize in a guy before he gets the okay by you? We all have our own expectations of a partner but if the list is endless and gets very specific then you should try to relax your standards a little.

I'll put it this way. Ted Bundy was considered very handsome with his dark hair and pearly white teeth. I guess it's just unfortunate that he is one of the most notorious serial killers of modern time.

I'd much prefer a sweet hearted sane guy who needs a few visits to the dentist over a sociopath with pearly whites.

Whitening teeth.?

I have a friend who has really yellow teeth.

%26amp; she wants to whiten her teeth.

But her parents won't pay for the dentist.

%26amp; she has asked me if I could help her with some solution.

%26amp; I don't know.

Can someone please help!

Whitening teeth.?
Crest White Strips work wonderfully
Reply:crest white strips!?
Reply:Three words. Crest white strips! =o)

I think the regular ones work just as well as the premium strips. The premium ones just last longer. Its about $20 bucks, but well worth it.

Good luck!
Reply:peroxide................from the drug store. cheap and does the trick. just put a spoonfull in your mouth and swish it around on your teeth for a couple of minutes. helps with mouth soars and bad breath too!
Reply:She could always try the Crest White Strips. I have had some patients use them and they got great results. Unfortunately, the best way would be to see a dentist and have him make your friend the whitening trays if she wants to get them movie star white.
Reply:try to ask some recommendation from a dentist. also try to choose a teeth whitener that does not harm the teeth, gums and the whole mouth. but remember to brush teeth and floss in order to get rid of the stains on the teeth caused by the foods and drinks that are taken in. for teeth whitening tips visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com
Reply:Here are many ways that you can whitening your teeth!

For home remedies.

Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to form toothpaste. Brush the teeth regularly with this paste. It will remove all stains in a month.

Use bicarbonate of soda 5 minutes before brushing the teeth with normal toothpaste in the morning. This is a good home remedy for teeth whitening.

Rubbing the bark of walnut tree on the teeth helps in removing all stains from the teeth.

Strawberries are considered natural teeth whiteners. Rubbing the teeth with strawberries daily will remove all the stains.

If you would like a suggestion on tooth whitening gel, here's something for you!

Crest Night Effects Whitening Gel (about $18.00) allows you to remove stains while you sleep. The tooth whitening system has a fresh, wintergreen flavor. After fourteen days of sleeping with this product on your teeth, you will wake up to a vibrant smile. You should see results in two days, although there are reports of tooth whitening results in one night

My teeth have a yello tint that i cant get rid of?

My teeth are yellowish but I've always taken decent care of them, and i cant remember them ever being really white, could it be possible i just have permanently yellow teeth, is there anything I can do? Ive tried baking soda and whiteners

My teeth have a yello tint that i cant get rid of?
Hi Skathe, I have the same problem. You didn't say how old you are!!!! I have always taken care of my teeth and I have the worse teeth around. My mom had bad teeth and she always took care of them too. She passed her bad teeth down to me and my age and losing calcium doesn't help either. It's something you have to live with I guess.

A Friend.

Reply:Teeth are SUPPOSED to be natrually yellow. You can buy strips to whiten your teeth, buy those things aren't good for your teeth at all. In fact, nothing that makes your teeth white are good for your teeth; they just make them prettier, not nmore healthy.
Reply:lady there's always the dentist. There's this new procudure mainly in USA don know much about UK, but they polish your teeth and come out looking white as snow. The whole thing doesnt take long but i expect it to be pretty costly only, the rich do it. If you got tha money then try.
Reply:try asking you're dentist 'bout having your teeth bleached. it's a simple procedure. it doesn't take very long and it doesn't cost that much. or you could ask your for a self whitening kit. it's not as expensive compared to bleaching done by dentist but it not as white!!

Whiter teeth?

im not saying i have yellow teeth, well i used to

but if i was to brush 2 times a day, chew these special whitening gums every day, and rinse with mouth wash (no floss) will my teeth get whiter? how long will it take?

Whiter teeth?
It is unlikely that you will get much of a change. Gums and whitening toothpastes typically just help remove stain from the teeth, they won't actually change the color of them. You will need an actual whitening product (Crest whitestrips, aquafresh trays, etc) If you haven't had a dental cleaning lately you should have one to remove any build up (tartar, plaque, stain) that may be making your teeth look darker. Also, try flossing since you are missing 40 % of the tooth surface if you don't. Good luck

Reply:yeah but if u wan tfaster results then use crest white strips
Reply:If you want FAST results, use white strips and an ELECTRIC TOOTH BRUSH! Thats what I did and I got immediate results. After about 3 days I saw a great difference.
Reply:They will get whiter eventually... But it will take forever. I use this mothwash at night that is called whitening mouthwash I think made by listerine. Its in a white bottle. Then I brush every night with the overnight whitening toothpaste by aquafresh. In the morning I use the 12 hour cavity protection toothpast and rinse with peroxide... My teeth are very nice, and I drink tea on a regular basis. (I also floss)

I need white teeth by next month!!!?

i have pale skin so my yellow teeth are much more apparent! I NEED HELP. i wanna know if crest white strips work and if they will damage my teeth. im currently trying to brush with baking soda but the results havent been that great. is hydrogen peroxide safe on teeth? any other whitening remedies will help thank you

ps. if i wanted to use crest white strips.. could i also continue brushing with my whitening toothpaste AND baking soda for faster results?

I need white teeth by next month!!!?
Put a table spoon of peroxide in a glass of water, brush teeth using this water instead of tap. This works just as well as the crest white strips and is not damaging!
Reply:Use the Crest Pro Whitestrips. They wil work...and fast. And they are easy to use. I LOVE them! And yes, you can use whitening toothpaste with the whitestrips!
Reply:Yes, crest white strips really work...use them!!! they are scientifically proven...if you don't believe me, then look it up on google.
Reply:Crest Whitestrips is an AWESOME product, and it will not damage your teeth. You do it twice a day for seven days and your teeth will be beautiful (not fake looking)!

I think they have two versions...one which is like $25 and one which is in the $30 range. Go for the more expensive ones. They do the job faster, otherwise you will be doing it for two weeks.

Everyone should use them in my opinion! Good Luck!
Reply:I used crest whitening strips and they really worked! They taste gross and its hard to keep that thing in your mouth for 30 minutes but the results are surprisingly good. But you have to do it twice a day if you want it to work!
Reply:keep using baking soda. And crest white strips. I use them and they work. Also i think you can use peroxide but just don't swallow any of it!

If this helps my friend uses peroxide on her teeth!
Reply:Crest whitestrips worked for me, but they made my teeth sensitive to cold. If you mix the baking soda and the peroxide together to make a paste and put on your teeth every day for 3 minutes, that will help as well. It tastes Very Bad, though.
Reply:Crest White Strips work very well. And I have used Hydrogen Peroxide before %26amp; it worked great! I dont think that either one of them are bad for your teeth but you might want to ask your dentist.

I need white teeth by next month help please!?
The baking soda every once in awhile is ok, too frequently is bad for the enamel and the tissue. So let's start from the beginning and see if we can get you the white that will keep you smiling!

To start with the best and easiest way is to see your dentist for a cleaning. They can remove the stains caused from the coffee, tea and smoking. Then the rest is up to your home care in keeping the stains off. Once you get the stains removed, it will be a lot easier to keep them off! Using a soft toothbrush and whitening toothpaste can do wonders alone, but sometimes you need a little extra help.

If you want the hollywood white, then talk to the dentist about home bleaching. He/she will suggest two different methods that are known to work well. One is bleaching trays that are custom made from impressions taken of your teeth. These work with a solution the dentist provides for you. The other is the in house, or one hour bleaching method that the doctor or his assistant preforms at the office.

The custom trays ususally takes a few minutes to a couple of hours a day for about two weeks to reach your desired results. Most patients I've found love this type of whitening. It allows them the freedom to judge when they need to "touch up" by bleaching whenever they feel their teeth have gotten stained from time, coffee, tea, wines and other things. It also allows them to touch up again months, or years down the road. The average cost of this is around $200-400. It's the method of bleaching I've used for over 15 years now, and I highly recommend this one.

Then there is the one hour system that the dentist does in his office, it's quiet expensive though, somewhere around the $600-$700 area. Some dentist don't use it or recomend it due to the sensitivity it causes. It's bleaching usually last for a couple of years and requires touch up with bleaching pens and mouthwashes which are expensive too. This gives you the instant white but the results aren't lasting.

So, it's really up to you and how much you want to spend to get those "pearly" whites. I would check around on the prices in your area. But the key question is, are you willing to maintain it, with regular appointments with your dentist and diligent home care? Talk to your dentist, they can answer all of your questions. Good luck!

The one hour bleaching I am refering to is the Zoom and Brite Smile, both cause extreme sensitivity. Patients are given oral pain medications in most cases and usually last about a year or two with use of the whitening pen and mouthwashes. I have personally used all three methods of bleaching and still use and prefer my trays.
Reply:you should try the crest white strips, you never know unless you try. if that does not work, or if its not white enough, go see your dentist. they can work wonders. good luck!
Reply:Try "Listerine Whitening." I was a smoker for 14 years, until I recently quit. I use that twice a day before I brush. It has a more concentrated level of peroxide in it than you can purchase in the stores. After about two weeks I notice a major difference in my teeth. Just a word of caution, use as directed. You don't want to mix too many products or over do it with any of them, or else you might do more harm than good to the enamel of your teeth. You might get results faster, but you only have one set of adult teeth!
Reply:white strips work. as for using both whitening toothpaste %26amp; baking soda, it's probably way too abrasive %26amp; will harm or make your teeth very sensitive.

brushing w/ peroxide mixed into a paste w/ baking soda is good for teeth %26amp; gums, but dont do that AND whitening paste
Reply:Try Crewst Whitestrips Premium Plus. It's about $35 a box. You can also use Crest Vivid White Toothpaste--about $3 a tube. None of it will harm your teeth %26amp;%26amp; you'll get quick, dramatic results.
Reply:just pay the 300 bones to get it profeesinally done...
Reply:The fastest way for you to get white teeth is to go to the dentist and let him make you a bleaching tray. The white strips do work but they take longer. The baking soda is not a good idea because it is too abrasive and it will wear the enamel down on your teeth. Your teeth will be more sensitive in the end but ask your doctor for prevident toothpaste for the sensitivity. It works!
Reply:try the crest strips,

comonetwork.com
Reply:hahaha everyone is their own worst critic, but i don't think your teeth are that yellow! it's natural for teeth to stain, so don't worry. and everyone has that one bad habit--coffee/tea/soda/wine drinking, smoking, etc.

i've used crest white strips, and they work great. they don't harm your teeth, don't weaken your enamel or anything like that.

i've heard that trays work well too.

baking soda is one of the oldest tricks in the books, however, it's actually very rough on the surface of your teeth. brishing with toothpaste and baking soda while using white strips will not speed up the whitening process...if you're looking for extremely fast results, you should definitely look into the Brite Smile teeth whitening or Zoom.

Zoom is a fairly new whitening technology that uses a ultra violet light to activate the bleach gel. Most who have had the zoom procedure done complain about the unusual sensitivity from the UV light. also, it's very pricey.

Another professional whitening treatment that gives you fast results is Brite Smile. Brite Smile is a one hour in-office teeth whitening procedure that is supervised by a licensed dentist. When you come in, the dentist does a general screening of your mouth and answers any questions or concerns you might have regarding the treatment itself. Then, they use shade scales (the same scales used by most dentists for blending fillings, bondings, crowns, etc.) to determine YOUR original starting shade, and then give you an idea of what to expect as far as results. The thing about Brite Smile, is that they get you to your maximum natural whiteness BASED ON YOUR GENETICS. Yes, believe it or not, everyone has a certain endpoint (based on your genetics) to how white your teeth can get. But after the consultation, a dental assistant will come in and begin the isolation process...where they use a liquid barrier material to outline the gums around your teeth and cover up your entire gums so that the bleaching gel doesn't come in contact with it. Then, with the use of a curing light, the liquid barrier hardens right over your gums so nothing will be able to seep through. So the dentist applies the bleaching gel, and the treatment is done in three 20 minute sessions. After an hour, you're all done.

it's a good solution if you want fast results. most of the patients we see have done things like white strips and trays, but found it too much of a hassle to keep up with it for an entire week or so. yes, it is a bit pricey, but it's worth it.
Reply:Whitening strips are a good and less expensive route than a visit to the dentist office. I would suggest eliminating coffee and chocolate. Baking soda and peroxide do help in whitening however you would been to be careful and not use baking soda too often because it can lead to erosion of your teeth and can cause sensitivity along with the whitening strips. Using sensodine (doesn't take much) toothpaste during the process usually takes care of that.

White Teeth?

Hi. Every morning, I brush my teeth, and they are pearly whites. But a half hour later? Yellow teeth, bad breath! How do I help this?

White Teeth?
Yes, breath mints and gum work for a short period but you have to be sure not too keep mints or anything with sugar in your mouth for long periods. This will just cause caries (cavities) and that is much worse than yellow teeth! As for the yellow teeth...it sounds like you may have slight staining. The only ways to get rid of stains if whitening treatments or Veneers. I would try the crest white strips, they work really well. Now for the bad breath....continue brushing twice a day for 2 minutes, floss @ least once a day, brush and scrap your tongue, %26amp; mouth wash (fluoride). By using Fluoride mouth wash, you're not only freshening your breath but also strengthening your teeth. The tongue scrapping helped me a TON plus it feels good. You'd be surprised how much junk gets on your tongue that brushing alone won't take off.
Reply:Floss them and use mouthwash.
Reply:Bad breath may be due to low saliva... if you could chew gum discreetly that would help increase salivation.
Reply:Try using a stronger toothpaste. Stay away from things that will get your teeth stained, like coffee, soda, and certain foods. But if you want your teeth to stay really white try whiting strips or the UV mouth guards those will whiten your teeth and keep them that way. Mints are better at keeping your breath smelling better than gum
Reply:Too white teeth look to bad when people smile or laugh. Look like to put white gloss on teeth.
Reply:Floss and use mouthwash in the morning and at night. It will help. Also try breath mints.

Bad teeth? turn off?

ok i dont have really bad teeth but some ppl think its a turn off to have crooked yellow teeth and some people dont mind. whats ur opinion?

Bad teeth? turn off?
i think bad teeth are awful. i cant say mine are the prettiest but when a guy has bad teeth i certainly wouldnt want to kiss him. sorry. but thats just from a strangers prospective. im sure if you were friends with someone or they got to know you, that it wouldnt bother them
Reply:I think its a bit of a turn off

**Just being honest**
Reply:I think it's a major turnoff. Bad teeth usually equals smokign habits, alcoholism and just plain laziness. And it is definitley not an attraction to women or men either!
Reply:Your "friend" who has bad teeth should just find someone else who has bad teeth, and then "their" gingivitis and tooth tartar can fester together in holy matrimony.
Reply:TURN WAAAAAY OFF beacuase there mouth might smell bad or it turns off the face... http://www.mikesjournal.com/October%2020...
Reply:How do you feel about them? Teeth can always be fixed. It's like you said, some people mind them and some people don't.
Reply:I have white crooked teeth and I think I'm an Individual......so no.
Reply:Yeah that's really a turn off. The yellow teeth could have been eaisly stopped by using a toothbrush, toothpaste and a lil water and mouthwash
Reply:if they are crooked i can deal with it (sumtimes) cuz thats a little harder to fix... but yellow, eww... whiten them! it doesnt take that long to clean you teeth everyday! thats just bad hygene.
Reply:crooked it okay but yellow eeww
Reply:i think its disgusting
Reply:Yellow!
Reply:i think crooked white teeth are better than straight yellow teeth. sometimes crooked teeth add to someone's character. i know a couple guys that have messed up grills but are really cute. maybe just try some tooth whitener but if you really want straight teeth you could look into the invisilign braces.
Reply:I think one should take the best care of their teeth as possible. A smile is one of the first things a people sees when they see you. Also bad teeth can be a sign of or symptom of bad health. Try to make time to visit your dentist regularly. But I still wouldn't let the appearance of your teeth deter me from counting you as a friend

My sister wont brush her teeth and they are like really ugly and yellow how can i get her to brush?

Tell your sister if she does not continue a healthy regimen on her teeth, it will be a continued spiral of mishaps.

1. You will automatically be labeled unhygenic. On ever level other than your teeth.

2 You will create major dental bills, to repair the damage that you have cotinued to do to your teeth, by not brushing.

3. Your overall health will deteriorate, with eventually, all the teeth that are decomposing, will get into your blood stream, %26amp; affect your heart %26amp; other organs.

Breath will remove boltbased objects.

My sister wont brush her teeth and they are like really ugly and yellow how can i get her to brush?
Have you tried telling her? Also they say that bad breath and teeth are a sign of low self esteem.
Reply:show her some really scarey pictures of tooth decay. if that doesnt work wait till shes sleeping and brush them for her..i didnt it to my sister when i was younger
Reply:Oh, One more innocent Q. but iportant.I enjoy reading Q.s And Ans.on YA.

We too have the same Q.in our home to persuade my grand kids.
Reply:Tell her she won't get a boyfriend when she grows up because no boy will want to kiss those teeth! Tell her a healthy set of teeth is what makes a great smile. Many people judge how good looking someone is by how nice their teeth are. Ask her if she has ever seen a model or actress with yellow teeth?

I didn't take care of my teeth when I was young and as an adult I regret it. It affects you look, not just the way your teeth look, but also your facial features. Girls are hesitant to kiss me, they don't like my teeth. Getting dates can be difficult.

Will Crest White Strips work on my teeth in this condition?

I had to use tetrocyclin when I was a teenager and it stains your teeth yellow, will this stain come off with the strips? I really want whiter teeth and im tired of looking like a smoker, its horrible, pale skin and yellow teeth, not super sexy if ya know what i mean :}

Will Crest White Strips work on my teeth in this condition?
They may lighten the stain to a softer shade of yellow, but your teeth will probably not whiten from them. Have you talked to your dentist? They might have some better options/insight for you.

Can you help my teeth look nicer?

I have yellow teeth and some of them have horrible looking stains. I know I could get them bleached or something but I'm only 14 and I don't think my parents would want to spend that much money so I was wondering if there were any really good toothpastes for teeth like mine. Also, I know sugar makes your teeth like this and I plan to reduce my sugar intake but are there any other foods which might have this effect on teeth?

Thanks

Can you help my teeth look nicer?
If you haven't had a dental cleaning and exam in a while then ask your parents to take you into the dentist's office for one. You may have stain, plaque or tartar buildup that needs to be removed (and can't be removed by you) and once that is done you may end up with lighter teeth. After that make sute that you are brushing for 2 minutes 2 times a day with floss once a day. Whitening toothpastes are not going to make a great change, you could try the Crest whitestrips (or even the WalMart or other generic brand). You can expect to pay $30 or so for the kit. However, if you use them don't brush your teeth first and for 1/2 hour after don't drink anything dark like tea, coffee or dark cola since this will just cause staining. In general these things listed will cause stain. Also, please don't compare your teeth to people in magazines, like famous stars. Many of these people have had professional whitening, crowns or veneers and you shouldn't compare yourself to them. Good luck!

JAMRDH - a dental hygienist
Reply:Most whitening toothpastes don't actually work very well... You can get some whitening gels pretty cheap though... Of course, the less you pay the more annoyance it will be to use...

I would recommend Crest Whitening Strips, but those are kind of expensive-ish.

Burshing ur teeth?

I brush my teeth about 2 times a day for 1-2 min give or take.

I have braces for about 1 1/2 years

is this a good method for my teeth cuz I have no yellow teeth

but do i need to extend any?

B.c I tend to miss brushing during nite if im really tired

any suggestions r appreciated

thanks

Burshing ur teeth?
Brushing your teeth during the day after breakfast, and if possible after lunch, and then again right after you had you Dinner, is the best way. Its important to brush after Dinner and then if you eat no more, they will be clean for the night. Somewhere in between it is good to floss at least once a day, that I do preferably after dinner. That way there should be no decay for overnight, since that is the longest time we go without food, for the 8 hours of sleep. When you have to miss you can rinse your mouth really well, and do not feel bad about it .
Reply:Nah i have braces to almost for a year and i am doing the same thing so just keep this up and sometimes i miss at night to so...
Reply:It seems good. You should floss before brushing though, flossing is probably the best thing you can do.

If you don't have any cavities and your teeth don't hurt when you chew you're probably on the right track.
Reply:when i had braces i brushed 4 times a day, and i still do...i may be weird but i think brushing is pretty fun... lol %26lt;33

And if you have bad teeth and yellow teeth you are a dumb

Does your teeth represrnt your personality ???
no, just because someone's teeth aren't white that doesn't mean they aren't good people. Some people inherit teeth color, they can't control genetics.

Teeth/Breath?

Go to a cosmetic dentist. They can help you. They can even set up a payment plan to help you pay over time and make it more affordable.

If it bothers you a lot see if you can get it fixed. Or just resolve not to worry about it or what people might think. The truth is most people are probably too busy thinking of themselves and worrying about their own flaws.

My teeth are discolored a yellowish color because...?

I took many oral antibiotics to cure many ear infections I had as an infant, also I breathe through my mouth while I sleep because I can't breathe through one side of my nose. I am afraid that my discolored, yellow teeth will makem e less attractive. They are stained this color, no amount of brushing will get it to go away. Is there anything I can use to make them look less yellow?

My teeth are discolored a yellowish color because...?
Well you can try those white stripes they sell, but it would take a long time and be expensive. Otherwise start calling dentist and get prices on whitening. I think its around $500 but you can applying for no interest credit cards just for this purpose. I use carecredit. You have a monthly payment but without interest so it would be paid off in a year or so. It might be cheaper then store bought ones in the long run anyway and it'll stop you from worrying.
Reply:I manage a dental office , you should check with your dentist on whitening procedures that they offer in their office. There are many out there.

Yellowish teeth?

my younger brother has yellow teeth.the enamel is also brushing off.is there any particular way to prevent it without going to the dentist?.can u refer some medicines which may regain the whitness of teeth?. does the water of any particular place has anything to do with yelloness of teeth?

Yellowish teeth?
Make sure he's getting enough calcium. Look up the foods that have a lot of calcium, such as dairy products, and eat lots of them. Be sure he brushes his teeth well.
Reply:they say its healthy. you can whitens it by visiting a dentist.
Reply:try using bicarbsoda
Reply:Ask your younger brother to wash his teeth with a brush and Ca(BaCO)2 (calcium di carbonate).

Wash with H2O (water)
Reply:Unfortunately he does need to see a dentist.

For now he can try to not scrub while brushing but rather use gentle circles when brushing. Mediction will not help, because the enamel has already formed a long time ago. If he is young he might need those teeth filled where he brushed the enamel away.

The teeth will become sensitive if part of the enamel comes off.

My suggestion is to have looked at by a dentist.
Reply:if he is brushing the enamel away he probably brushing his teeth too hard. my best advise is to visit the dentist. most whitening products on the market arent that good but there are whitening techniques that a dentist could do if it bothers him alot. also diest can be a factor especially if he drinks alot of tea or coffee. smoking is another factor.

if he goes to a dentist maybe a week before the appointment do a food diary to show the dentist what food he is eating so he can explore that as well. also he needs to be shown a brushing technique brushing hard, isnt always the best way.

Whitening Teeth?

I have yellow teeth. They are really nasty. I want to whiten them but, they never get white. I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day. I floss. I do everything I'm supposed to. I'm 14 years old. I've tried teeth whitening gels and all sorts of things. Does anybody have anything that will work? I hate to look in the mirror and smile... please help me. I need anything that will work.

Other than professional whitening (300$ is not in my budget!)

HELP~

Whitening Teeth?
Very simple and cheap. Mix peroxide and backing soda and brush twice a day. It's not a pleasant taste but it works.
Reply:try rubbing baking soda on your teeth 2 times a week
Reply:use crest whitening strips
Reply:Get the Crest whitening strips they work great. Use then once in the morning and once when you get home from school. Work great!
Reply:Wow, did you just start taking care of your teeth? Use white strips, I don't use Crest, but a generic and they work better than crest did for me. My teeth were off white so I don't know about your results.
Reply:As we get older, teeth have a natural progression to go yellower.

Cosmetic dentistry is now more popular than ever.

Bleaching your teeth is very safe to do, but there are different ways to getting a "whiter" smile.

Your teeth will only whiten to their inherit colour and any fillings that are present will not change due to the material they are made from.

You can purchase the "paint on" from the supermarket but this doesn't stay on your teeth long enough and I find that it's a waste. This can be quite cheap, about $20.

The other option is to see your dentist and ask for "zoom" or laser bleaching. This is very expensive and could cost well over $1200. This takes about 1 hour in office and can make your teeth very very sensitive (I mean for days and days).

The best option I would suggest, is a home bleaching kit. Trays are made from moulds that are taken of your mouth and then a small amount of slow releasing peroxide paste is placed in the trays and inserted into your mouth. This process takes about 1 hour and is done everyday for up to 10 days.

The good thing about this is that is costs aout $300 and you will always have the trays. You can purchase "top up" bleaching syringes if you notice that the shade has dropped back again or if you have a special occasion.

This is how I bleach my teeth and it works but remember not to eat or drink anything for a couple of hours otherwise you are just chasing your tail. Avoid red wine, tea/coffe, tobacco and spicy foods as these will stain your teeth whilst bleaching.

Happy New Year!
Reply:Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and

are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken.I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/ep7yg
Reply:You are either lying or not telling the whole story. How can your teeth be so nasty by the age of fourteen if you brush and floss as you say you do? Have you even been to a dentist before? Have you had a dentist office cleaning? Did you take lots of medications when you were younger? What's the deal here?

Do you brush your cats teeth?

if so have you ever heard of the brand C.E.T tooth paste and tooth brush? i have noticed when i was looking at my cats teeth that she had a yellow tooth and her gum where the tooth was a little bit redish/ dark pinkish . so i wanted to buy a toothbrush and toothpaste so i can clean then! what brand do u reccomend for cats and btw my cat is 6 yrs old and i feed her wellness brand cat food dry in the day time and wet at night!also how many times a day do u brush your cats teeth and when did u start doing it ?=)

Thank you

-Tianna

Do you brush your cats teeth?
no but i should
Reply:the best way to go is a finger tooth brush one that slips over the finger. you dont have to do it everyday once a week or so is fine. you can also call vets and ask about having a dental done for you cat its just a teeth cleaning. at my work it costs about 160 .
Reply:i don't know but i brush my dogs
Reply:no i dont but if they are fed on good quality dry food that should help to clean their teeth naturally
Reply:nope but i give it a bath like this

http://www.collegehumor.com/video:173825...
Reply:If her teeth do look a little weird i'd brush um if i were you...but no, i don't actually brush my cats teeth.
Reply:I don't brush my cats teeth. Instead, I feed them Friskies hard food, and everyother day, they get cat treats that are made to be a replacement for brushing. then on the days that they don't get the dental treats, they get 1/4 of a can of Friskies Soft food (the small can). My animals are all healthy, and only go to the vet when they need their booster shots. They are all older now, so they go to the doctor once every 2 or 3 years. Except for one of my little boys, he likes to swat at bumble bees in the spring. He usually ends up getting stung, so we have to take him in to get the stinger removed. Have you ever tried to stick your finger in a cat's mouth....I don't recommend it.

For my dogs, I give them "dental bones" they are really hard, and have things in them to break away tartar.
Reply:no
Reply:Kind of. I rub PetzLife gel on her teeth with a finger brush, but I don't really consider it brushing. I just apply the gel, and that's it.
Reply:I rescued a ragdoll with some very bad teeth and bad breath. We got his teeth cleaned at the vet (go to a vet, don't get this done at a groomer!!!!!)

It made all the difference. I finger-brush his teeth once a week. He hates it but knows it's coming. You can also use a cotton rag to begin with, wiping her teeth, getting her used to the effects, then add the paste. When she's okay with that, it's time to upgrade to a toothbrush. The finger brush is good if your cat's mouth is large enough. I also had a small cat whose mouth was far too small, so I had to improvise. I bought a disposable pet toothbrush that had paste already on it. I washed it off and cut in half lengthwise. The bristles were a bit rough, so I took that into consideration when I brushed. She did okay with that and never needed a vet cleaning.
Reply:I have not done this myself, but have considered it. There is a brand at the pet store that i read works well. It is important to do so though especially if her gums are irritated. you should brush at least once a day. I read that you can start by rubbing your cats cheeks and doing this for a few weeks.
Reply:I don't. I really meant to but have just plain failed.

I have heard of c.e.t. dental - they've gotten good reviews for their various products. I bought their treats (my girls didn't care for them though) and their water supplement. I don't use it anymore because they don't drink much.

But yes, they are a good product. I don't know that one toothpaste or brush is better than any other, though, so just use what works for you and your cat.

Personally, I use chicken necks for their teeth. And by the way, you've chosen a good brand of food. Good for you!
Reply:Yes, we brush one cat's teeth regularly, the other when we can get him to sit still for it. You don't have to brush her teeth every day. We do it once a week or so. It's a very good thing to do if you can do it because dental problems can lead to more serious health problems like heart disease. You can also give her crunchy treats like Greenies to help keep the tartar off her teeth. If your cat is 6 years old, it might be time to consider having her teeth cleaned professionally. It's expensive, but if you can afford it, it is a great thing to do for their health. We just had our 8 year old's teeth cleaned professionally.

I haven't heard of that particular brand of toothpaste and brush, but I don't think it matters much which kind you use, as long as it's made specifically for cats. Your vet can also give you a gel that you put on the cat's teeth with a swab. This is usually easier than brushing because they love the taste of the gel and will spread it around their teeth themselves.

Can someone save their teeth if they haven't brushed as much as they should have?

My teeth aren't falling out or anything, but i'm sure i must have little cavities. Growing up my mom never instilled in me that I have to brush my teeth, I think it was something I just learned you should do, so I think that made it harder for me to put it into my routine. Also I would put off brushing in the morning (before school) because I had the most sensitive stomach, it's not like I swallow the toothpaste or mouthwash, but you know a little ends up being swallowed. Lastly if I just came home from somewhere and I'm tired I just feel like going right to bed. I know I have to brush my teeth because besides it being gross and unhealthy, its not cool to have yellow teeth.

So what can I do to improve the habit of brushing my teeth? I already use the Listerine Whitening mouthwash, colgate 2in1 whitening toothpaste, and then I use regular mouthwash. Anything I should be using thats different?

Can someone save their teeth if they haven't brushed as much as they should have?
I recommend blowing your nose before brushing in the morning. This helped me when I was pregnant and found I had an easy gag reflex. I recommend it to my patients if they are known gaggers too, prior to cleaning their teeth.

You don't have to use toothpaste in the morning if your sensitive at that time of day. Just use a wet toothbrush and scrub the plaque off. Wait till later to swish with some fluoride mouthwash if you want.

Keep the toothbrush and floss in sight on the counter. Put a reminder note on your mirror in your bathroom and in your bedroom. Put a dollar in a jar every time you brush/ floss before going to bed. Keep a toothbrush in your purse so you can brush later.
Reply:rinse your mouth with some warm salted water.

invest in a bottle of an oral health tinture.

available @ most health food stores, it should include white oak bark, peppermint oils, at least those two ingredients. depending on the brand they will have other components.
Reply:After they fall out, put them in a box to save them for later.

Reply:First, you need to go to the dentist asap. If you have any cavities, the dentist can fix them and prevent it from getting worse. If you don't see the dentist, you really will lose your teeth.

Secondly, you know you need to brush your teeth, so just work it into your regular routine. Do it after breakfast and right before bed, at least. Brush again during the day if you eat something sugary.

Last, you didn't mention a very important part of dental care, and that is flossing. You must floss your teeth once daily. Before bed is ideal. The dentist can show you how to floss properly if you don't know how.
Reply:Be careful with using too much mouthwash, it will damage the enamel on your teeth and you will be more prone to cavities.
Reply:did u go to the dentist?

sometimes the dentist is not very good.

i think if u eat to much sweets it gets worse as i clean teeth everynight and morning.

sometimes after a party or a long trip i just get tired and too lazy to clean my teeth.

And no matter how u look u are always cool don't mind anyone who judges u they should look at themselves first!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and don't use too much toothpaste as it does it worse for ur teeth!!!!!
Reply:not that i can think of at the moment but try putting brushing ur teeth everyday and ignore the stomach senitivety

How to keep my teeth white?

Please how can i keep my teeth white??

please i'm fed up of these yellow teeth, I'm not smoker!! :(

why the yellow color appears on my teeth!!

How to keep my teeth white?
Go to see your dentist and get them bleached, that's the easiest, quickest and the least headache. No more wondering and pondering.

One of the above comments mentioned a couple of popular brands.

I did mine, I did the take home kit from the dentist, and you could stop BEFORE you teeth look like photocopy paper. My best friend did his at the dentist chair and his teeth are as white as photocopy paper - he loves them! They scare me :-)
Reply:Baking soda does wonders for teeth. It could be that mucus can discolor teeth and be hard to keep clean. Good luck, Take care.
Reply:start with a professional clean up, then whitening toothpaste, whitening mouthwash, avoid hi colored foods, and drinks, like coffee or red wine.
Reply:you probably drink lots of coffee or tea or maybe eat things with dark colors like soy sauce, hot sauce, soda, things w/ berroes, mustard/ketchup, etc. you can keep it white by using those toothbrushes that have those whitening agents in it or you can get those crest white strips, but i think you should get it done at a dental office better. Zoom! or Brite Smile, are the popular ones.
Reply:um, i would say brush your teeth at least twice a day with crest pro-health, if youre not a smoker, are you a coffee drinker? if you arent then its probably bacteria and the toothpaste will take care of that, also there is pre-brush rinse stuff to help whiten your teeth, and make sure you have a good tooth-brush, every once in a while you can take some baking soda and brush your teeth with that...i do all of these things and i have very nice bright white teeth, also dont forget to floss, you only have one set of teeth left,so take care of them!
Reply:I am a dental hygiene student (in my senior year) and I think I have some solutions for you.

First you need to determine why you have the stain. Depending where the stain originated, it may or may not be able to be removed. Possible causes include: medications, tooth injuries, tobacco use, fluoride history (development of the tooth), oral hygiene, or foods and beverages.

**Yellow stain is most likely on the outside of the tooth (called extrinsic stain).

If the cause is from tooth injury, medications, or a developmental issue, it may be a stain that cannot be removed. You should see your dentist and/or hygienist to determine the cause.

If the stain is from an external factor, the easiest and most efficient way to eliminate the stain is through good oral hygiene practices. This includes proper brushing, flossing, and rinsing. Without that, you will likely have lots of stain. You may find whitening toothpaste and mouthrinse to be helpful.

Also, if you drink tea, coffee, sodas, these along with some pigmented foods will leave behind stain. Again, proper oral hygiene practices will eliminate/reduce the stain from these factors. Try brushing just after drinking or eating these foods. The longer it sets, the harder it becomes to remove. Stain may also be caused by bacteria in the mouth in individuals with poor oral hygiene, so understand that oral hygiene greatly impacts the color of your teeth.

You mentioned that you don't smoke and that is a wonderful point because smoking is a huge factor for stain. It is usually found most heavily on the tongue side of the back upper teeth (molars) and will often look dark brown or black in color.

If you chose to have whitening treatment done there are a variety of ways to achieve whiter teeth. There are over-the-counter products that really do work! You might also consider going to your dentist and/ or hygienist to get a custom tray for home whitening or do in office whitening. These are all options for getting those pearly whites but you just have to ask yourself how much you want to spend and how long you are willing to wait for the results.

Maintain whiter teeth by brushing, flossing, rinsing, and visiting your dentist and hygienist twice a year for cleanings and exams.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

How Do I Get Whiter Teeth?

I have yellow teeth because of all the candy I eat and caffeinne I drink. I want to get whiter teeth and I'm only 11, so I can't use Crest Whitestrips even though it's said to make your teeth whiter. I have sensitive teeth and I brsh my teeth twice daily.

What's the best toothpaste that works fast to make teeth whiter?

Should I brush longer than 2 minutes or about 2 minutes?

What product should I use and what toothpaste works the best?

What should I do daily to make my teeth white?

Thank You =]

How Do I Get Whiter Teeth?
use the whitening toothpaste your prefer for your sensitive teeth and brush immediately after eating sweets and drinking sodas. And if you eat breakfast that contains sugar such as cereal or pop-tart, eat before you brush your teeth. I doubt you'll have immediate result but you can prevent them from becoming more yellow. And don't brush your teeth too hard because it can cause your gum line to recede. ....I know how you feel. I just got my braces off and I am trying whiten my teeth as well.
Reply:With Colgate Whiting Paste
Reply:Lay off the sweets and caffeine. Also brush with colgate after eating any dairy products. My dentist told me milk and cheese tend to make teeth yellow. Ooh and floss daily! It's very important, believe me lol.
Reply:I have braces and my doctor said once u have yellow teeth, completely because u eat candy, it is called plaque. And nothing will defeat the plaque.
Reply:you want white teeths its not a quick trick but u have to control ur tea or coffee

leave it or drink onces in a day brush ur teeth in morning and night after meal never leave ur teeth after meals just go and brush it after meals

use mouth wash instead of brushing after drinking tea

u will have whiter teeth if u keep visiting ur dentist in a year
Reply:Brush your teeth for 5minutes 4 times a day, using Crest whitening expressions toothpaste for 2 minutes, then using a mixture of baking soda and peroxide for 2 minutes, then use mouth rinse with fluoride for the last minute.

If that doesn't improve your teeth, then continue to do that but also use crest whitening strips.

If the those to things don't satisfy you then go to your dentist and have them whiten them. It only cost me $160

Even if you have your dentist whiten then still brush your teeth how I described.

Also, smoking and drinking coffee discolors teeth.
Reply:Brush your teeth with salt. Brsh with fingers instead of tooth brush. Dental bleaching will be ideal.
Reply:My friend works 4 a dentist, %26amp; she rinces with PEROXIDE once a day. Its the peroxide in all those teeth whitining things such as "WHITE STRIPS" that make your teeth white. Also she says its good for the inside of your mouth, its supposed 2 heal any open sores u might have. If it tastes nasty you can use PEROXLE its sold at most stores, its just mouth wash mixed with peroxide. You can use ARM %26amp; HAMMER toothpaste too. But my advise is to cut down on certain things ofcourse, because eventually your teeth will start rotting, and you cant whiten up the black cavities, which are holes in your teeth.

Good Luck!!!

P.S. There are also toothpastes that help reduce tooth sensitivity, just check out the toothpaste isle you will get a lot of ideas.

Impossible for teeth to be white?

Hi. I am a 19 year old female and I consider myself to have good oral hygiene. I have had braces for 3 years. I brush 2 times a day with Crest whitening toothpaste, floss once a day, use a tongue scraper daily, and use mouthwash daily. I don't drink soda and I am on a low sugar diet. Despite this, I don't have white teeth. Before I got my braces my teeth weren't white either unless I used Crest Whitestrips. Well now I can't use white strips because of my braces so I'm stuck with pale yellow teeth. The color really bothers me! I've tried brushing with baking soda but I stopped doing that because I heard it can harm my braces. Is it possible to just not be able to have white teeth? Any tips on how I can whiten my teeth with braces?

Thanks!

Impossible for teeth to be white?
thats just the natural shade of your teeth. unless you bleach hard core, you will not have white teeth. i am a dental technician and there is virtually nobody with white teeth. the girls you see on tv with the stark white teeth, they are laminates.
Reply:Teeth are naturally a pale yellow color. It is nothing to be bothered by. Just keep up the good oral hygiene and once the braces come off you can treat yourself to an in-office whitening (ZOOM or any other). It will be worth the wait!
Reply:yeh, i know! my dentist tried to make my teeth white ( i filled it in on a survey ) and at the end of my check up, nothing really happend ( although it felt white , i could even taste it ) ! u should pick the dentist girl as best answer!

Teeth whitening help?

Ive heard using tooth paste with bakeing soda can help whiten teeth, but how? What does it actuacy do? Can it be dangerous and how much should i use?

Also do shop bought whiteners normaly just strip the 1st layer to try and get teeth back tot heir original state? Because i think i have always had quite yellow teeth and i dont think that will help, By doing it proffesionaly at a dentist will they bleach them?

Teeth whitening help?
Baking soda is the best natural thing to use, or peroxide toothpastes look for these in shops. Stronger than this will damage your teeth over time as their to abrasive. If you go to your dentist it will work a little but more than likely youll be very disappointed and left broke.
Reply:NO toothpaste will lighten the color of your teeth. They can only remove surface stains. The white strips that are sold in stores do work but only on the front 6 teeth. The only way to get all of your teeth lightened is at a dental office. None of the lighteners remove any of your enamel.

Teeth brushing?

Well, I was just thinking and theoretically..say someone had really yellow teeth. If this person brushed their teeth non stop (with an electric tooth brush) for like 24 hours..how would that affect their teeth?Would they be whiter?Would they be damaged?

Teeth brushing?
After about 10 minutes, the gums would be puffy and starting to swell up. A little while later, they would start to bleed. The pain would be really intense and you would probably have to stop.
Reply:they would be really clean, if not damaging some of the enamel. the best way to go about whitening is to get crest whitestrips, (they really work!) or to see your dentist for the professional whitening, but be warned, it isnt cheap.
Reply:This would be terrible for your teeth and your gums. If you want to whiten get bleaching trays at the dentist they work great and only cost about 150.00 or buy some crest whitening strips at any local drugstore. Good luck
Reply:If you were to brush your teeth for 24 hours, you would wear the teeth as if you had brushed them for 5 minutes a day for 288 days. If you did it only once, and assuming that you were using a soft brush, stayed only on the enamel, and didn't overheat the teeth, that would not be significant. What's unknown here is the effect of not having time in between brushings for the tooth surface to remineralize. Brushing does abrade a small amount of the surface enamel that mostly restores itself between brushings through the action of fluoride and minerals in your mouth. Your gums would really start hurting after 5-30 minutes depending on the current state of your gum health and your brushing technique. Since most significant yellow staining is not just on the surface of the teeth but also on the inside, you could brush until doomsday and not get them whiter. If the yellow was due to lots of plaque on your teeth, they'll be whiter in a couple of minutes. If it's due to more tenacious surface staining such as cigarettes, etc. it would take longer, but not nearly a whole day!

Reply:BRUSH UR TEETH!!!!!

there not gunno stay white if u dont brush em!!!!!
Reply:Well you need to brush them............ otherwise your other teeth will fall out. The two fake teeth will not whiten with teeth whitener, you will have to go to your dentist and have them taken out and make new white ones.......then you'll need to worry about your other teeth, because you don't want to have two white front teeth and then the rest yellow.....hope it helps
Reply:No problem, if you just not brush your teeth they will all fall out and then your new ones will all match. In the mean time keep your mouth closed and no one will notice. You probably have bad breath anyway.

Kissing a person with bad teeth?

I asked this before and didn't get many answers, so I'm asking again.

I've had a crush on a guy for about 7 months. I was too shy to tell him I liked him, so a friend did it for me. He played hard to get for about a month and a half after he found out I liked him. On Friday, we had a conversation for the 1st time ever and made plans to go on a date. I noticed that he has a jacked up grill aka bad teeth. I really, really, REALLY like him. He dresses well, he's such a sweetheart and I know that my mom will like him, unlike all of my ex boyfriends. I have a big thing about men and their teeth. I desperately want to look the other way, but it will be hard.

Has anyone ever been in this situation? I know people have bad teeth for various reasons, but my goodness! He has yellow teeth (not dingy yellow, so I can deal with that) and there's a black spot on one of his front teeth. To kiss or not to kiss? That is the question!

Kissing a person with bad teeth?
Well, I personally am a big stickler for teeth so I would have a hard time getting past that. But as long as he doesn't have bad breath and it looks like he at least brushes them, then maybe it won't be too bad. Not sure I could go there tho.
Reply:it may be kindly for her and then you helped someone. Report It

Reply:Yes, I thought my bf 'grill' was also 'jacked up' when I met him but now I think his teeth are really nice. You'll grow to love them if the relationship works out. Report It

Reply:Do NOT kiss. Yuck.
Reply:Dont kiss him I think you just might be grossed out if you do
Reply:I would run
Reply:I wouldn't be able to kiss him. No way. Tell him that you have a wonderful dentist and you can make an appointment for him.

He is going to lose his teeth, otherwise.
Reply:Don't kiss them at all. The british are bad kissers.
Reply:This is way on up there on my gross-out-meter. I just don't think I could french a guy with nasty teeth. Ick. This is something that you might not be able to get past. A black spot? Oooohh. That just gives me cold chills.

If you think it is worth it, you can tell him about the GREAT dentist you go to and suggest he make an appointment.
Reply:eww! you seem to be in a predicament there...you need to search yourself for the strength to kiss him.....can you honestly feel good about introducing him to your friends or mother without people thinking...man that dudes got bad teeth...and i bet his breath stinks....lol
Reply:errrrr...erm just try talking to him about teeth somehow, and that you brush yours everyday and that its important to you(don't know how that will fit in a convo!), then he might get the picture and then after about a month kiss him!

And if he doesn't get the message hes dumb and you don't want to go out with him
Reply:having a yellow set of teeth doesn't mean he/she has a bad breath...check the factors...perhaps he's a smoker...or a coffee addict...or simply that's his real teeth...after all u don't kiss his teeth do u?..

Why are people such buttholes wen it comes to teeth color?

I've noticed that many articles concerning a situation of colored teeth or even yellow ones always ends up with someone commenting saying "tell them to brush their teeth!!". Do people with white or near white teeth not realize that some people with yellow teeth got it genetically. Things such as the passing on of antibiotics through the placenta causes this. It's not the person's fault that their mom took antibiotics while pregnant with them. Why do people always assume that everyone with yellow teeth doesnt brush their teeth? Are they that much ignorant of the whole situation or just choose to be assholes because they feel on top of the world due to the fact that they have pearly white teeth?

Why are people such buttholes wen it comes to teeth color?
people are just so ignorant anymore. Its like everytime I go to the dentist I always get some snide remark from the heigenist(sp) like if you wouldnt drink tea or pop and brush your teeth you wouldnt get cavities. I want to say listen bi*ch i do brush my teeth every day, im just prone to cavities or something. The way i look at it its job security for those buttholes.
Reply:Yeah it happens. Certain medications cause it as well as food and drink regardless of how much a person brushes their teeth. It's a universal signal of good health (pretty teeth) and that is why people are so concerned about having them because underneath it all nice teeth say "I'm attractive!".
Reply:Yes, I agree. I think some ppl are wayyy to obsessed. Teeth aren't suppose to be super white! Sometimes I see some that look like they can glow-in-the-dark, lol. I actually like it when I see natural teeth. I can see how healthy they take care of their teeth. And there's always that nice and shiney. It's soothing and...REAL AND NATURAL! The worse is seeing someone with white teeth and bad teeth (cavities). And too white it looks liek chicklets or dentures (lol). Thanks for posting, finally, I thought I was the only one who felt this way!! ;)

White Teeth?

I always wanted white teeth! I ahve always had yellow teeth no matter how much or how many times i brush my teeth! What is the best toothpaste is good making teeth white? The ones that work for you! I always see people with white teeth I can't never get my teeth like that!

White Teeth?
I have tried alot of whitening toothpaste and I have not had very much luck with them. You should try the Crest White Strips. I have had alot of patients use them and they have gotten good results. I personally use the whitening trays that your dentist makes you. They will make your teeth movie star white. I love them. Before you use a whitening product you should use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth and continue to use it while you are whitening your teeth because the whitening solution will make your teeth sensitive to cold. It will go away once you are done. Good Luck with whatever you choose.
Reply:use crest whitestrips
Reply:thats because those people use crest white strips =)
Reply:try colgate or aquafresh which has 25% more enamel to strengthen your teeth and make them healthier!
Reply:Crest whitestrips will help..
Reply:You can try laser tooth whitening. It is an excellent way you can whiten your teeth, but it is expensive. It cost about $1000 per treatment. However, there are other tooth whitening systems available that can give you a white teeth after treatment. They are also cheap.

Is a yellowish teeth a healthy one?

My teeth sometimes looks yellow but usu. white. I brush my teeth 3x a day and flossed, etc. it cleaning my whole mouth(tongue, S n F palate, gums). My classmate commented me that I have a yellow teeth even though I had just brushed my teeth. My mother told me that the yellowish teeth are healthier one. Is it true?

Is a yellowish teeth a healthy one?
No it doesnt mean they are healither. You might just build up plaque faster than normal which causes them to yellow. If you take care of your teeth properly and they still aren't getting any whiter, If it bugs you that much, a professional whitening system can whiten them up for you. Talk to your dentist next time you go in and they can tell you your options!
Reply:Probabbblly not! Too much flouride can turn your teeth yellow though. So i would suggest talking to your dentist.
Reply:If the teeth just grew in then they stay yellow for a few weeks also try mouthwash
Reply:Learn English before you post. You should be ashamed. You sound like a child.
Reply:i dont think so
Reply:When I was younger, my dad asked the orthodontist why I had yellowish teeth (thanks dad), and he said it was due to weak enamel. It makes a lot of sense since my teeth are very sensitive to cold and crunchy things.

As long as you take good care of your teeth, which it sounds like you do, then they should remain healthy. But there are certain products that are bad for your teeth in excess, so you should visit the dentist and ask him what are the best products to use, and what to stay away from.

What is the best tooth paste availble in shops for slightly stained teeth.?
i am an older person and have used an old remedy of proxide and baking soda, make a paste.of mixture.brush and dont rinse.after brushing.some people dont have pure white teeth this is what an old dentist told me .i have almost all my own teeth off white. but there still there and sometimes when i go to the hospital for testing the nurses comment on no dentures?and i say no there not pearly white but there mine.it takes time to get use to but believe me it will work. happy brushing.
Reply:Plus + White. Visit to the Dentist can remove it over time. But it's not going to be cheap. Laser Whitening will work, but your gums will be in pain for a week after.

How to Whiten Teeth With Baking Soda?

How to Whiten Teeth With Baking Soda?

i have yellow teeth. i brush my teeth twice a day, morning and before bed. i have yellow teeth after brushing. i also have bleeding when brushing.

so how can i clean my teeth using baking soda? what is the routine? do i add water and lemon or lime juice?

How to Whiten Teeth With Baking Soda?
no clue try dental strips or some paint i whitewash, by the way
Reply:Bicarbonate of soda...use as any other dentifrice.....wet the brush, dip in the soda, brush away! It is very effective, commercial toothpaste is a con to part you from your hard-earned cash.
Reply:Bleeding is usually a sign of gum disease. In the majority of cases it is a sign of a condition called gingivitis, which means inflammation of the gums.

If gingivitis is not treated, it can develop into a more serious condition called periodontal disease. Periodonatal disease is a bacterial infection that can damage the gums and tissues in the mouth. If left untreated, it can result in teeth falling out.

Most people will experience some sort of gum disease in their lifetime. This is largely the result of western diets which are high in sugar. Sugary food encourages the growth of bacteria (plaque) on the teeth, which leads to gum disease.

Cleaning your teeth regularly, keeping sugary food to a minimum and visiting your dentist regularly can help to reduce your chances of getting serious gum disease.

go to your dentist ask for some antibiotics
Reply:I think its good to add asome lemon drops onto the brush .
Reply:Sounds like you have a gum disease and require dental treatment. To whiten your teeth rub a slice of lemon on the teeth but do not do this very often as it is bad for the enamel.

Brushing with baking soda is good but you still need your teeth checked and cleaned and if money is an issue there are dental clinics in Colleges in most larger cities that do the cleaning for a minimal fee but it is time consuming. In Orillia, Ontario I pay $25 to have my teeth cleaned in one of these clinics.
Reply:Why use BAKING SODA that would lead you to bad cavity if you can have the very EFFECTIVE TEETH WHITENING KIT from http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com/. For me, it's the best and one of a kind just as i use it until now together with my kids. Try and you'll see the amazing difference.
Reply:Thank you very much for asking this question, apparently it has been on my mind for quite some time.

My hamster's teeth is long!?

The bottom of my hamster's teeth looks like it's wiggly and she has really yellow teeth. I tried giving her wood chips from our front yard and it seems to work. Tell me how to make it white again or is it natural for hamster teeth to be yellow? Can i brush it? How can i make it shorter besides taking it to the vet. Oh and my hamster still can close her mouth but when i saw her teeth, it was not together! It was also a bit long and yellow! Please help me!

My hamster's teeth is long!?
Be careful giving the hamster wood chips and such out of your yard -- certain species of trees are poisonous and others might have pesticides on them that you don't know about. There are all kinds of chewing toys you can get at the pet store -- from wood blocks to edible houses. The hamster definitely needs many different toys and things to chew on as this is the only way to keep the growth of the teeth in check. Rodents (and rabbits) teeth continue to grow -- they must chew to keep them cut back. If they are too, too long or if they become too long, you will need to take it to a vet who specializes in rodents to have the teeth filed back. Under no circumstances should you try to do this yourself if you don’t have experience with it -- you can hurt the hamster. I wouldn't worry about the color, yellow is pretty normal for a hamster. But definitely stock up on chewable toys and such and that should do the trick if they’re not too grown out already.
Reply:i think they are supposed to be yellow, but for the length you can file them.
Reply:give her a bunch of chew toys, she should take care of the problem herself.
Reply:The teeth are supposed to be yellow.

You don't need to brush her teeth. Give her plenty of things to chew on, and they should shorten up. If they get longer, it'd probably be best to get her in to see a vet and get them clipped. Be sure to monitor the growth of her teeth. If they get too long, she'll need them clipped.
Reply:Yellow is normal, or at least all of my hamsters had yellow teeth. As for the growing, you said so yourself, by letting her chew, like rodents need to do, it took them down. Just stick with that.
Reply:Get her a thing from the pet store, they have chew toys they can chew to file down their teeth, They should always have something like that in their cage, otherwise it's really dangerous, Also, their teeth are normally yellow, I wouldn't brush them you could hurt their gums
Reply:I would buy your hamster something to chew on like a little salt block or even give him/her some peices of wood to chew on. Don't worry I used to have a hamster and I asked my mom and did some reseach to see if anything was wrong with him. It turns out that hamsters teeth are natureally long and it helps them if they chew on something hard. Good Luck!!! I hope that this helped!
Reply:they are supposed to be yellow

no you cannot brush them

DO NOT EVER take would wood from your yard as it is not safe they sell chews in petstores.

And if you want them to be smaller/shorter just give her a snack shack (sold at most petstores) and alot of wood chews
Reply:The teeth are supposed to be yellow. As for them being long, you can get special toys for hamsters that allow them to gnaw and file their teeth down.
Reply:I had a hamster that once every 2 weeks i had to get his teeth cut at the vet. But after 2 1/2 years i had to put him down. His teeth where so mess up he couldn't eat.
Reply:well i dont know about hamsters but guinea pigs need vitiman c or your problem pops up. the only thing you need to worry about in my opinion is if they stop eating
Reply:try giveing her a hard dog biscuit for her to chew on :-)
Reply:Naturally hamster teeth are yellow, it's OK to get woodchips from your yard AS LONG AS YOU freeze them for 1-3 days! This kills all the fungus and bugs on them. Make sure the wood is not from a cedar or pine tree! You can also buy chewing toys at a pet store! Stock up on chewing toys so that your hamsters teeth don't get long like you said! Give her atleast 3 in her cage. If your hamsters teeth get really long go to the vet and the vet will clip them. Good luck! :)
Reply:It is natrual for hamsters to have yellow teeth. But you could always see a vet to get the teeth shortened. I don't know about the wiggly teeth. Also you need to buy a chew toy for them you can find some cute ones at Petco.
Reply:well you need to get on this right away or it could get really bad first give it a chewie and that will help!!
