Why do Chinese have bad teeth?

In a recent visit to China I found most people had darkened - yellow/brown/ teeth. These were educated well-to-do folks. Is it the Tofu/Soya sauce diet?

I don't know if you're from the US, but here we have fluoride in our water, which helps make teeth stronger. In countries where the water has no additives, people's teeth may wear out more quickly, especially if they take poor care of their teeth (not brushing, getting cavities filled, etc)
Reply:They probably believe in keeping their teeth dirty. Some type of religion stuff or something. not to sure.
Reply:One of the main reasons is because since their lifestyle is so stressful, most of the people smoke which causes discoloring of teeth.
