How come cats teeth dont get yellow?

they dont clean them so how do they stay white

How come cats teeth dont get yellow?
Actaully they do get yellow. I have cleaned many many cat teeth, and sometimes they are pretty nasty. They don't get yellow as quickly as human teeth would if we didn't brush because cats don't eat sugary foods, and if they eat dry kibble, the dry crunchiness of it helps keep tartar from building up.

Reply:good question !

WHY !!
Reply:They aren't supposed to get yellow. If the cat eats a healthy diet consisting of decent cruncy food on a daily basis it shouldn't be much of a problem.
Reply:They do too! And when they do, it is really nasty! You gotta use this thingy that looks a bit like sharp pliers, to scrape it off when it becomes too much. The older the cat, the more tarter and plaque and gingivitis builds up. Generally young cats or kittens do not have this issue. To slow the build up process, feed your cat dry cat food and treats to help aid in the scraping off of the undesired yellow color on their teeth.
