Whats the best whitening product and cheapest for you teeth?
Overall I would say that most of my patient's have had some measure of success with the Crest Whitestrips, some more than others. Our office uses Crest Supreme which are much stronger than what you can buy in a drugstore and don't cost that much more ($60.00 vs $30.00). You can purchase the drugstore version, but do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar or plaque) will impede their ability to work. Also, don't use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). The strips are probably your best low price alternative, much less than in office whitening or custom trays (about $500.00). Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again. You should see results within the first week if not sooner.

Good luck!

Reply:Hmm... yes there are strips for whitening... although I've heard that if you always have your teeth whitened it will make it more sensitive.

I'm using a tooth mousse that helps because I have flourosis. It made my teeth whiter but the dentist told me to wait 6 weeks (actually, you can see results in less) it is somewhere like 800 pesos here in the Philippines (46 pesos= 1 dollar)

Ask your dentist what she would recommend. If you are a smoker, then whitening your teeth and continuing to smoke would be pointless.
Reply:Your best bet: Crest White Strips

I say this because if you ever decide to go out and spend the money at the dentist to get custom trays made and use the given bleach you may find that your teeth are too sensitive to take on whitening. And they're the safest treatment out there.

Use the strips for the recommended amount of time while avoiding smoking, black/green teas, coffee and other staining products for the maximum whiteness. After the two week period or whichever it says, your teeth will be as white as your teeth will get without starting to remove the much needed enamel. So only bleach twice a year, if that.

But give the strips a try and see how they work. If they do, they do. If they don't, they don't. It's only around 45 bucks as opposed to the 350 you'd pay or more at the dentist.

Thanks.
Reply:crest white strip works the best i use it and patients that come into my office that use it i notice a difference...really...i swear by them and i also use a whitening toothpaste which makes the effects work the best i use rememberant whitening toothpaste but if you want to go on the cheap side any whitening toothpaste willl do:)
Reply:Crest Night Effects are going to be the CHEAPEST. They are about $12.00 at Wal-mart. I think they work really well. If you get into the whitening strips and stuff those work really well too but you are getting higher up in prices. Crest Night Effects is a gel that you brush on your teeth for 14 nights. Its great because you just go to bed and overnight your teeth will get whiter. Just brush it off in the morning and your ready to go! Also I love Listerine Pre-Brush whitening rinse. Its great and you just use it before you brush your teeth! Good luck!
Reply:My experience with whitening strips made me turn to other more effective alternatives. In the process, I also learnt about what works best for me; NovaWhite’s Home Tooth Whitening kit is easy to use, affordable and risk-free. Read the information provided because it will help you make an informed decision about what’s the best, cheapest and most effective tooth whitening product for you.
